On January 11, 2017 I finally started my loc journey. I have been patiently waiting to start locing my hair for some time now, and I finally found the courage to do it. I have been a fan of locs for many years, but I was too afraid of the permanent commitment.
After many years of great hair days and horrible hair days I finally found the courage to do my hair like I've always wanted. I am not alone in the loc'd hair lifestyle. My mother has sisterlocs. My older sister and best friend both have traditional locs. So I think I'll have plenty of encouragement and motivation on my personal journey.
